About
VibeTribeyyc

Created in 2013 by Sean Butler, VibeTribeYYC was built with the intention to develop a high level dance education and training program for those in and around the Calgary area. VibeTribeYYC guides dancers to form deeper understandings of music, a soulful connection to movement,  and a growth mentality through classes, training, and choreographic pieces. An energetic and welcoming space where all dancers of differing ages and abilities can continue to build skills, entertain, and share positive vibes together!

Sean Butler

Sean Butler is a Calgary-based dancer and choreographer, founding member of The Tomorrows dance crew (est. 2012), creator of VibeTribeYYC (est. 2013), and co-founder of the NextGen Dance Projects (est. 2021). His knowledge of music and movement is a direct result of his years of training in Flavorshop: a world-wide motion of like-minded artists created and developed by Lenny Len (Toronto). Sean started dancing at the age of 15 and has been involved in the community since as a Choreographer, Performer, Videographer and Teacher. He has taught at multiple dance studios in and around Calgary for the past 12 years working with recreational and competitive programs. He established VibeTribeYYC: a creative movement designed to train mental, physical, and soulful understandings of music through choreography, as well as co-founding the NextGen Dance projects: A youth focused initiative providing dance training specialized in Hip Hop and Jazz. Sean strives to affect artists and students alike, generating an enhanced mentality and promoting growth and success through dance, music, and community.
